Probe Industries Professional Race Series Forged Pistons for the 429/460 Ford are manufactured on advanced 2618-t6 forgings. Most feature double spiral locks (or wire locks in some applications), forced pin oiling with oil distribution grooves, and lock removal indentations, along with ring grooves suited to Probe low tension rings. Your choice of vertical or lateral gas ports are standard. They also feature gas accumulator grooves in the second land. 52500 Bearing Steel, wrist pins, locks, and oil rail supports (if required) are included.
Probe PRS 429/460 pistons are available for OEM, SCJ/Kaase, AFR and all other aftermarket heads
Flat top pistons for the 460 Ford will range from 10.4:1 in a stock stroke motor to 12.5:1 with a 4.500 stroke version. All are manufactured on application specific 2618-t6 forgings and have valve reliefs suited to either OEM valve locations or the SCJ/Kaase head. AFR, A460 and C460 heads can also be accommodated at no additional cost. All 460 pistons have an exhaust pocket added to eliminate piston to valve clearance issues on the exhaust side.
Dish top pistons for the 460 Ford will provide a 10.5:1 compression ratio (assuming a 72cc head) for general purpose use. All are manufactured on application specific 2618-t6 forgings and have valve reliefs suited to either OEM valve locations or the SCJ/Kaase head.
