Available Combinations for the VPE Chevrolet 434 Stroker are 4.125, 4.155, 4.165 and 4.185 bore with a 4.000 stroke crankshaft in the conventional 4.125 bore block. Crankshafts are either Cast Steel or 4340 Forged Steel. Crankshaft models feature 2.648 main journals and 2 piece rear main seals. Connecting rods are stroker clearance versions. As always Custom Combinations are no problem.

Flat top pistons in a 434 inch Chevrolet engine will generally provide compression ratios in the 12.25:1 range which makes them a good option for engines with aluminum heads where the use of race gas is acceptable. Valve reliefs are configured to work with most types of standard and aluminum cylinder heads and will normally fit camshafts to over .650 valve lift.
