Available Combinations for the VPE Chevrolet 511 based Strokers are 4.250, 4.280, 4.310, 4.320, 4.350 and 4.375 bore with a 4.375 stroke crankshaft in the conventional 4.250 bore block. Crankshafts are Cast Steel or 4340 Forged Steel. Crankshaft models feature 2.748 main journals with 1 or 2 piece rear main seals. Connecting Rods are 4340 Forged Steel. As always Custom Combinations are no problem.

Flat top pistons in a 511 inch Chevrolet engine will generally provide compression ratios in the 9.25:1 range which makes them a good option for Screw Blown engines where limited mechanical pressure is desired. Valve reliefs are configured to work with most types of standard and aluminum cylinder heads and will normally fit camshafts to over .750 valve lift.

Dome top pistons in a 511 inch Chevrolet engine will generally provide compression ratios in the 10.5 to 13.75:1 range (depending on cylinder head type) which makes them a good option for engines ranging from street to high compression strip cars. Dome volumes are 18.0, 39.0, and 48.0 ccs. Valve reliefs are configured to work with most types of standard and aluminum cylinder heads and will normally fit camshafts to over .750 valve lift.
