Available Combinations for the VPE Chevrolet 502 Strokers are 4.470, 4.500, 4.530, 4.560, 4.600 and 4.625 bore with a 4.000 stroke crankshaft in the conventional 4.470 bore block. Crankshafts are Cast Steel or 4340 Forged Steel. Crankshaft models feature 2.748 main journals and 1 piece rear main seal. Connecting Rods are 4340 Forged Steel. As always Custom Combinations are no problem.




Flat Top
Flat top pistons in a 502 inch Chevrolet engine will generally provide compression ratios in the 9.5:1 range which makes them a good option for boosted engines where limited mechanical pressure is desired. Valve reliefs are configured to work with most types of standard and aluminum cylinder heads and will normally fit camshafts to over .750 valve lift.
