Flat top pistons in a Chevrolet LS Series engine will generally provide compression ratios in the 13.0:1 range which makes them a good option for race engines with aluminum heads and larger than stock camshafts. Valve reliefs are configured to work with all standard aluminum cylinder heads and will normally fit camshafts to well over .600 valve lift. LS Series valve reliefs have 15 degree angles to accommodate all available LS Series cylinder heads. They will not fit the LS7 12 degree heads.
